OUR

MINISTRIES

Cochesett is passionate about caring for the needy and bringing the hope and goodness that is in Christ Jesus to others.

From our local West Bridgewater Food Pantry to across the seas to Africa to support Imagine No Malaria

and to the furthest global stretches of the many United Methodist ministries, Cochesett excites in moving to make a difference.

Each year there are local and non local opportunities to see and be a part of God's work. We invite you to join with us in various programs of outreach like The Bridgewater Christian Fellowship Center at BSU. Reverend Chang Son who guides the students had this to say about the ministry "Christian Fellowship at Bridgewater State University is the Protestant Campus Ministries where students of all faiths and all levels of faith journey make home away from homes. CF is a place for students to come and unwind for a while, to just be yourself and to express what you feel, but most important of all, it is a place where you can learn more about Christ and the joy He promises to those who serve His name. We feel that joy, and we invite you to share it with us.  Come and be a part of our family. Share with us our commitment to Christ."

We reguarly support the West Bridgewater Food Pantry and serve as a drop location for food items that are delivered on a weekly basis. Annually at Christmas time we participate in "The Giving Tree Ministry"  a community ministry in where a gathering of presents are collected under Christmas trees at some local churches for children to open on Christmas morning. Our Basket Ministry delivers small gift baskets of handy house hold items to new residents that have moved into the area, helping to welcome them into the community and extending a helping hand where they may need it.

Our free community soup suppers are quickly becoming a favorite especially to the elders who enjoy the early hour dinner at 4:00 when we first open our doors to our guests. We also engage in positive actions performed collaboratively through our communities Reach Program affording emergency assistance to those in need in our community.

These are just some of the various programs that Cochesett church is passionate about it. There are many more exciting ministries both locally and over seas that afford opportunities to experience sharing Christ love with others.
